Well, I am not technically an Eremite, but I am a medievalist, so close enough. Come for my ranting and raving, stay for the game reviews and political discourse. Just watch out for The King (if he shows up), his highness doesn't take criticism very well.

The "pole" was actually the visible feeding tube of an invisible horror from beyond. The next panel, which was omitted for space constraints, had the stick figure on the right stating, "That's no pole, my friend..." Or perhaps, "...it's a space station." :)
